Writing a web page requires knowledge and skills. You can’t simply come up with a web page without knowing anything about the web languages. One of the commonly used languages is HTML or the hypertext mark-up language. For better results, HTML is usually fused with XML or the Extensible Mark-Up Language. This is what is coined as XHTML.

Knowledge of XHTML is important in building web pages. Web developers need to undergo in-depth XHTML learning before they can come up with perfectly coded web pages. XHTML learning can be a tedious job for some. This is the reason why some of them simply use any program that writes XHTML.

DIY XTHML Vs Programs

While using XHTML programs can make the work easy, nothing still beats doing the codes yourself. The best way to write a web page is always being part of the process. It makes you understand your pages better.

Some programs that write XHTML has disadvantages. First, some programs may create a large page that takes forever to download. Whereas, if you code the pages yourself, you can control its size, making it as small as possible to facilitate faster loading. Remember that pages that load fast attract more visitors and impress the search engines.

Second, using programs to write XHTML for you sets you away from the process. You will have less understanding of your web page’s internal structures since you did not create the codes yourself. The problem starts when things don’t work right in the page and you need to identify what the problem is and how to correct it. This time, the program will not be able to help you. You will have to do it yourself. But how can you do it if you don’t fully understand the codes on the page?

There is also a better chance for you to further improve your web pages if you know how they are built internally. Building a website and creating web pages requires you to get your hands a little dirty to achieve the best results.

Although web development programs are meant to ease the hard work, sometimes it is better to experience the “hard” part of the process to be able to perfect the results. Learning is necessary in making a web page. It will all be worth it especially when you begin to see the positive results of your XHTML learning. Using just any program to write XHTML for you can be very tempting. But don’t give in to the temptation; it pays off to know XHTML yourself.

XHTML coding knowledge is a must in creating web pages. Furthermore, web pages need to be designed effectively. Please see our Web Design Service or you can apply for our Free Web Design Analysis. For more information, please contact our Web Designers.
