Don't Always Blame The Google Sandbox

Better Google Rankings

There are websites that enjoy a good ranking in other search engines like Yahoo and MSN but aren’t doing well in Google. What could be the reason behind the poor performance and ranking in Google? When faced with this situation, most webmasters would start blaming the Google sandbox. But do you know that it isn’t the sandbox to blame alone? Sometimes websites aren’t doing well in Google because they are penalized for getting many links in just a little time.

Everyone in the internet is telling about how important it is to get links. This is the reason why almost all websites panic about getting as many links as possible. Because everyone wants higher ranking in no time, they work on getting many links as they can. This practice can somehow hurt your website more than it helps it.

Google Requires Quality Incoming Links

Google is particular with the quality of the links. Links basically mean some websites find yours relevant and they link to it. This is how links are supposed to work. But because webmasters found out about the effect of links in website ranking, they no longer wait for someone to link to their website. Instead, they look for websites interested in linking to their website.

Although there is nothing wrong with this, some webmasters come to the point of buying links or participating in link farms and other link tricks just to get more links. Google abhors these kinds of link tricks. Naturally, links can take some time. So it is quite suspicious if your website receives several links in no time. This is the reason why Google somehow delays ranking.

There is really no haste in getting links. After all, it is not the quantity of links that matters, it is the quality. So no matter how many links your website has, if the links aren’t quality, they won’t be able to increase your website’s ranking in Google. And worst, they can even get your website penalized.

So when your website isn’t performing well in Google, don’t always put the blame on Google sandbox. If you do, you won’t be able to consider the fact that your website may already be penalized. Remember that there are other factors that affect your website’s ranking. If you always blame the sandbox, you won’t be able to shift your focus on other factors that your website needs to rank high.

Too many links too quickly can get your website penalized. Need to generate quality incoming links to your website and get better ranking in Google? Please see our Link Building Service or you can apply for our Free Website Analysis.
