Google's Pay Per ActionHome > Resources > PPC Resources > Google AdWordsAmong online advertisers, Google adwords is a popular choice for online advertising. Google is one of the mostly used search engines today. It has millions of users, which means that when you advertise in Google, your ads will be visible to a large percentage of your target market. For this reason, Google AdWords became the common resort for advertising. Google adwords is a pay per click advertising program, wherein the online advertisers pay for every click generated by their ads. Now Google has announced a new service called the Pay Per Action. Will this new service get the same attention as the pay per click advertising? What has it in store for online advertisers? Pay Per Action DefinedPay Per Action or PPA is a service wherein the advertiser pays only when a desired action is triggered. This service serves as a complement to Google AdWords. Pay Per Action is deemed to be very useful to online advertisers. With this new pricing model, the advertiser defines a desired action and pays only when the defined action takes place. Desired action can be in the form of lead, sale, sign up, page view, etc. The advertiser defines the action, sets up and manages conversion tracking (to see whether a desired is achieved) and creates ads. Just like pay per click advertising, pay per action gives full control to the online advertiser. PPA sure has many benefits, however, as of this time it is a limited US only beta service – which means you need to be an AdWords advertiser in the United States to be able to use this service. If you are a US AdWords advertiser and want to try the Pay Per Action, there are only three simple steps to follow. First you need to create optimized ads, second is to define the desired action and the amount that you want to pay for every action completed and lastly perform conversion tracking and analysis. In creating the ads, the advertiser has the option to create a text ad, static image ad or a flash ad. Pay Per Action For PublishersOnce there are pay per action ads available, Google AdSense publishers will be able to choose which ads to display on their websites. The pay per action ads, however, are offered to a limited number of AdSense publishers only. The publisher has the control over what ads to include on his website. Google Pay Per Action promises many benefits to online advertisers and publishers. It makes them in control of the ads campaign. Surely, it will be an effective complement to pay per click advertising or the Google AdWords. To use pay per action, you need to be an AdWords advertiser. Need to set up your Google AdWords account?
