How To Create A Powerful AdWords Ad

Home > Resources > PPC Resources > Google AdWords

Search Engine optimisation

To be able to make the most out of Google AdWords, you must be able to come up with an attractive and compelling advertisement. Your AdWords Ad must be enticing enough to catch the online users’ attention and curiosity. The AdWords advertisement must drive site visitors and targeted site traffic to your website.

Google AdWords Standards

Google is quite meticulous when it comes to AdWords advertisements. It has set some standards that must be strictly followed. What are these standards or rules of Google Adwords?

  • The advertisement must be in a text format;

  • The title line must only be composed of 25 characters;

  • The description can be two lines of 35 characters each; and

  • The URL must be up to 35 characters only.

These standards must be followed at all times in using the Google AdWords program. Have you noticed that the Google AdWords ad is composed of three parts? These parts are the title line, description and the URL. How can you make a compelling ad using these parts?

Effective Title Lines

The title line is the first thing that the online users see in your Google AdWords advertisement. This is what makes a potential site visitor decide whether or not to visit your website. This is the reason why you need to make the title line as attractive, compelling and enticing as possible. Another reason is that some of Google’s affiliate networks mainly display the title line of the AdWords ads.

The title line must drive the online users to read through your ad description and eventually click on the URL that leads to your website. The title line must contain the most popular keywords or search terms that you have on your list of keywords. And web marketing experts will agree that the word “Free” always get a positive response!

Effective Ad Description

Once you have caught the attention of the online users to look at your title line, you should be able to continually convince them through your ad’s description. Your Google AdWords ad description must be as attractive as the title line. The description should convince the online users to click on the link that leads to your website.

The ad description must encourage targeted site visitors to continue exploring your website and at the same time, discourage random links by unqualified visitors. Aside from this, the ad description must carry relevant information that will be beneficial to your potential site visitors and online customers.

Create a compelling Google AdWords ad and ensure the success of your AdWords endeavor. Need an AdWords’ experts help? Please contact our PPC Specialists or have a look at our PPC Services Ireland.
