How To Create Ads For Google AdWords

Search Engine optimisation

Google AdWords is a pay per click advertising program that allows you to advertise your website online while paying only for every click generated by your ads. With AdWords, you can realistically cause a traffic jam in your website. This can be achieved through the use of keywords that are closely related to your website and attention grabbing ads.

It is easy to generate keywords for an AdWords campaign since there are several keyword tools available online. But how about the ads? How can you create relevant, informative and attention grabbing ads for your Google AdWords campaign?

Ads For Google AdWords

Creating ads is a big task in creating an AdWords campaign. Most advertisers are challenged when it comes to ad copywriting. Many advertisers fret over the creation of ads. Actually creating ads for AdWords is simple.

First step is to think about a title describing your company, products and services. The title is limited to 25 characters so compress your ideas to fit this character limit. Titles must be relevant and enticing. It is the first thing that online users see so it must be able to grab the attention of the online users.

Second step is to think about a description. The content of the ads should be a sum up of your offers. There is a limit in the number of text lines and characters in each line. So what you need to do is think of an attention grabbing line that talks about your products and services as short as 35 characters. With the description, advertisers can add up to two lines.

Third step is to add the display URL. The display URL is the domain name of your website in the format www.thenameofthedomain.com. It doesn’t have to be the same as the landing page of your ads. Some advertisers use a different landing page than the homepage or the URL display.

Some Pointers

In creating the ads, remember what your target market wants. As you write about your products and services, mention some benefits that the target market will receive. Use words that serve as baits to your target market. It is important that you understand your target market to be able to create effective ads.

It is imperative that you know how to attract your target market; otherwise, it will be impossible to create effective ads. Ads are crucial because they serve as the door to your website. The more effective your ads are, the more people would want to come through your door and visit your website.

Effective Google AdWords ads attract more website traffic. Need to set up and manage an AdWords account? Please see our AdWords Account Setup or AdWords Management. For more information, please contact our AdWords Specialists.
