No matter how good your products and services are, if you don’t know how to market them properly, they will be useless in terms of giving you online sales. It is not enough that you have a website which displays your products and services. What if your target market can’t find your website? They will not be able to make any purchase and you will not make any sales.

As a smart internet marketer, you should look into other forms of marketing. One good way to market your products and services to your target market is through email marketing. But just the same, if you don’t know how to write a compelling email, it will still be useless. So how do you write an optimized and converting sales and marketing emails? Here are some tips to help you out:

  • Avoid too many links on the email.

  • While links may help you promote the other pages of your website, it can distract your reader from reading the entire email. If they click on the link, they might not come back to your email. Your goal in writing the email is to introduce your products and services and get the readers to purchase your products or avail of your services. So avoid having too many links on the email especially on the first part of the letter. You should only have the link that will take them to your action page.

  • Keep your readers’ interest high.

  • Starting from the headline until the end of the email, the readers’ interest should be kept high. You should come up with an email that doesn’t sound too pushy or sales oriented. It should read like a friendly letter offering help instead of the traditional sales page. The readers should look at the email as something to help them. When they know that the email contains something that is beneficial to them, they will read on.

  • Testimonials do help.

  • Include some testimonials in your email. Testimonials are more powerful than your own sales information. Of course, you will say something good about your products and services because you want to make sales. When the praises come from other people not connected with your business, it is a different story. It has the power to influence other people to try your products and services.

  • Use P.S.

  • Some readers go over the headline, ignore the body and read on the last part of the email. If there is a PS, chances are, it will be read. So include a PS in your email. The PS should contain a clear call to action. Something like, “don’t miss this opportunity, grab this product now, etc.”.

Email marketing is an excellent way to get personal with your target market. It will deliver positive results if you send emails that are optimized and highly compelling. Follow these tips here to come up with an excellent email to send to your prospects.
