It's Time to Convert Site Exits into Customers

Internet Marketing Advice

Isn’t it frustrating to know that your site has thirty visitors for the day and out of that number got only one customer? Perhaps you start asking yourself a million of “WHY”s. Why have these visitors left your site without even purchasing your product or your service? It is a fact that no matter what you do to your site, it is always impossible to turn every single visitor into customers.

Why do Visitors Exit a Site?

It is important to have an idea of why visitors leave your site rather than becoming a customer. This will help you strategize ways to make them stay. Here are some of the reasons why your site’s potential customers turn to exits:

  • When they have visited your site, they were not attracted by your headline;
  • While they are browsing over your site, they got distracted and left; and
  • They have browsed over your site and are not satisfied with the cost of your product or service.

From Exits to Customers

Now that you know the common reasons why visitors leave your site, it is just the right time to stop focusing on the many why’s and start looking for ways to reach your site’s exits. In finding ways to convert exits to customers, you must consider your site’s reason as to why you want these exits to stay. First, of course is for higher sales. Second is that thinking they are already on the site, wouldn’t it be just right to make them stay?

Don’t give your visitors reasons to leave. And even if they already intend to leave, make a way to convert them into customers instead. How? Here are some practical ways:

  • Before they leave, let them know that your product or service is exactly what they need. You can set up another page for this - a page that will appear only as your visitor exits.
  • Offer them discounts for the product or the services. They may be leaving your site due to the high cost of your products and discounts may just be the key to convert them to customers. This information can also appear on the page you will be creating for exit visitors.
  • Leave them with no choice. Put some pressure on them. One way of doing this is giving them a one-time-offer. They will most likely take the offer knowing that it will not be offered again.

It is actually easy to convert exits to customers. Just a little amount of strategy and “tricks” is what you need. So go ahead, waste no time and start thinking of ways to convert your site’s exits to customers.

Take advantage of your site's visitors. Don't let them leave without being converted into customers. What you need are web marketing strategies that really work. We can help you, please see our Web Marketing Services or apply for a free Web Analysis.
