Internet Marketing Advice

No matter how many different keyword combinations you have, you still can’t guarantee that online users searching for your type of products or services will search using the exact keywords you have created. To reach more prospects, you should create targeted keywords and one great way to do this is keyword matching.

Keyword Matching Option helps online advertisers and web marketers target their keywords so that they reach their target market. There are four types of keyword matching options that web marketers and online advertisers can use. The types of keyword matching option are as follow:

  • Broad Keyword Match

  • Broad keyword match is the default setting for keywords. If you use broad keyword match, your online ads will appear on the search results for the keywords and keyword phrases you use irregardless of order. The good thing about the broad keyword match is that your ads can still appear on the search results for expanded matches. Your ads can show up on the search results for plural terms of your keywords and keyword phrases even if the plural forms are not included in your list of keywords.

  • Phrase Keyword Match

  • If you use phrase match for your keywords, your ads will appear on the search results when search query match the phrases’ exact sequence and form that you specify. Phrase keyword match can give lesser impressions on you ads; however, it helps your ads reach your target market. When using phrase keyword match, there is no need for a higher daily budget.

  • Exact Keyword Match

  • If you use the exact keyword match, your ads will appear on the search results when the exact keyword (letter by letter) is entered as a search query. Online advertisers and web marketers who use the exact keyword match are sure that their ads will receive the most targeted traffic. Exact match keywords use [ ] square brackets.

  • Negative Keyword Match

  • What is the use of negative keywords? Negative match keywords control the appearance of your ads on search terms that are not relevant. Ads will not appear on the search results when a negative keyword is present on the search query. Negative match keywords use – before the keywords.

The four types of keyword match option are intended to help online advertisers and web marketers who wish to get higher targeted traffic and conversion rate using pay per click advertising. Choose which keyword match option is best for your ads and hit on a successful pay per click campaign.
