Many aspiring websites turn to Search Engine Optimization with high hopes that sooner their websites will finally do better in search results. SEO is primarily inspired with the dream of one day being on the top of major Search Engines’ results. It seems like an achievement to be on the top. But its more than the achievement, it’s the traffic, it’s the popularity and most of all it’s the sales that drive these websites to utilize SEO.

Basically SEO is used by websites for search engines. But how does these search engines look at SEO as a process? Google, one of the most widely used search engine, has its own insights on SEO.

First, you may have read about what Google has to say about SEO. That the service basically covers writing copy, giving advices on site architecture and finding relevant directories to submit a particular site. It is true that these are parts of the entire Search Engine Optimization Process but not the entirety of it.

SEO Defined

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. This is a web marketing technique that prepares a particular website and helps in improving the site to get higher ranks on the results of a search engine. It increases the chances of a website to get into the top once a relevant search is done. SEO comprises a number of factors to be considered in ensuring a website’s success. These factors include the content of the website, the structure of the site’s copy and page lay out, the HTML meta tags and the submission process.

SEO optimizes certain pages of a website for them to rank high in search results. Regarding the “Advice on site Structure”, SEO actually gives advice on this with respect to crawling since the site architecture itself is covered by web design.

Google may look at SEO on a different perspective than how others look at it. Its insights are part and parcel of the process but not the total process itself. But that does not change a bit of the fact that no matter how we look at SEO, it remains as an indispensable tool that will take our site to a higher ranking position in Google. As long as we commit our SEO process on the level of what Google might judge as ethical, we are still on the right path to better website visibility and stable internet business.

SEO will help your website get to a higher rank position. For more information on SEO, please see our SEO Services or apply for a free SEO Analysis.
