However, when keywords inclusion has gone bad, it can pull the website down the search results or worst it can caused a website to get penalised. So how can you tell when keyword inclusion has already gone bad? Some search engine optimisers stuff their websites with loads of keywords totally compromising the meaning and quality of the website content. Others use hidden texts containing keywords. These are tricks that won’t do any good to a website in terms of search engine optimisation. Urged by the desire to impress the search engines, some search engine optimisers present a different version of a website to the search engines. The version is highly optimised for the search engines alone. What happens is that there are two versions of the website, one for the online users and the other for the search engines. This is a black hat SEO technique that the search engines abhor and it has a corresponding penalty. When search engine optimisation has gone bad, the result is penalty, search engine banning, lost traffic and sales.
