If your website is ranked high, chances are, it will appear at the top of the search results every time your keywords are searched for. PageRank is Google’s way of measuring the importance of your website. The key to get a higher PageRank is to focus on acquiring more quality incoming links. It is advisable that you secure links from websites with at least a PageRank of 4. The Incoming Links Anchor TextIf the quantity and quality of incoming links matter, so is the anchor text. Always aim for text links instead of image links. The anchor text of the incoming link pointing to your website must contain relevant keywords. If your website offers web marketing services and most of your incoming links use the anchor text “web marketing”, chances are your website will have a higher ranking on Google search result when someone searches for web marketing. The PageRank and the incoming link’s anchor text are two important factors that you should focus on if you are serious about getting to the top of Google search results.
